Paying for college — any college — can be a challenge. Rest assured, when you choose Ashland University, you have a team of experienced financial aid counselors working on your behalf.
CHECK ELIGIBILITY FOR A WIDE VARIETY OF SCHOLARSHIPS
We offer scholarships for accomplishments across a wide range of areas. From academic scholarships to music, art, theatre and athletic scholarships, there are many opportunities that cover a significant portion of the cost. While you will want to apply for any scholarships that are available in your local area, you don’t need to apply for Ashland administered scholarships. When you send in your enrollment application, our staff automatically submits your name for all awards for which you may be eligible. To increase your financial aid eligibility, make sure you apply for admission early. It’s the best way to be sure nothing is missed.
STEPS TO APPLY AND RECEIVE YOUR FINANCIAL AID
Financial aid is processed for Ashland University students on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to those who have submitted a FAFSA by the March 15 priority date. Please complete the following steps to receive your financial aid in a timely manner.

Apply —You will be prompted to create your FSA ID when you log on to the FAFSA website. Complete your FAFSA by March 15 using Ashland University’s school code 003012. |

Review Your Offer Letter — Prospects and incoming students receive an email notice that their AU Financial Aid Offer letter is available for viewing on Self-Service. Incoming students receive the instructions for viewing the offer electronically on Self-Service with their acceptance letter from the Admissions Office. A .pdf of the offer letter can be downloaded and printed from Self-Service if needed. Students whose offers are revised will receive notice through their Ashland University email when their revised financial aid offer letter is available for viewing. Be sure to check your Ashland University email account frequently for important notices from the Financial Aid Office. |

Complete Loan Processes — For any loans listed on your offer letter that you wish to take advantage of, complete the required processes if you have not already done so. If you wish to cancel or reduce any of your loans, please send us your request in writing to financialaid@ashland.edu. Federal Direct Loans listed on your offer will be processed unless you tell us otherwise. |
