The Honors Program is intended for academically talented students who generally meet the following criteria:
First Year Students:
- High school GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Minimum ACT composite score of 27 OR minimum SAT score (combined critical reading and math) of 1280
(Ashland University has made submission of test scores optional for fall 2022. The AU Honors Program will also accept students without requiring test scores for this year.) - Completed application form with essay
- Interview with Honors Director
Transfer Students:
- Overall university GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Letter of recommendation from college faculty member
- Completed application form with essay
- Interview with Honors Director
Current Ashland University Students:
- Overall university GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Letter of recommendation from Ashland University faculty member
- Completed application form with essay
- Interview with Honors Director
