Tuition Waiver & Exchange

One of the unique benefits of your employment at Ashland University is the availability of educational benefits for you, your spouse and your eligible dependent children. 

Ashland University Tuition Waiver Program (Undergraduate)

Undergraduate courses are available to regular, full-time Ashland University employees with at least one year of full-time service, their spouses, and dependents.  The Application for Faculty/Staff Tuition Waiver, which can be found on the Human Resources section of myAU portal, must be completed and returned to the Human Resources office by the beginning of classes each semester (one form may be completed for all semesters at the beginning of each academic year).

Ashland University Tuition Waiver Program (Graduate)

Masters Level courses are available at an 80% discount and Doctoral level courses are available at a 25% discount to regular, full-time Ashland University employees with at least one year of full-time service. Spouses and dependent children are eligible for a 25% discount for either Masters level or Doctoral level courses.  The Application for Faculty/Staff Tuition Waiver, which can be found on the Human Resources section of myAU portal, must be completed and returned to the Office of Human Resources by the beninning of classes each semester (one form may be completed for all semsters at the beginning of each academic year).

Ashland University Tuition Exchange Program

Ashland University participates in two separate off-campus tuition exchange organizations, Tuition Exhange, Inc. (TE) and Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).  These programs do not cover Graduate or Study Abroad and are available to dependent children of full-time Ashland University employees with at least one year of full-time service. Ashland University's Human Resources office administers the Tuition Exchange Program. Questions should be directed to Michelle Neville in the Human Resources office at 419-289-5677.

Deadline:  The Tuition Exchange Scholarship Application for both the Tuition Exchange, Inc. (TE) and Council of Independent Colleges Program (CIC) is due by November 15th for the following academic year. The application and guidelines can be found on the Business Office or Human Resources sections of myAU portal.

All employees currently receiving a TE scholarship (either TE or CIC) on behalf of their eligible dependent must submit a renewal application each year.
