International Student Tuition and Fees

2022-2023 Academic Year

International students studying under F-1 student visas are required by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to show a minimum financial ability during the admissions process in order to qualify for the issuance of a Form I-20 from the US institution. Indicated below are the estimated tuition and fees for programs popular with international students. These fees are estimates that may be indicated on admitted students’ Form I-20s.

Estimated Undergraduate Tuition & Fees

Undergraduate international students admitted with qualifying cumulative grade point averages for academic year 2022-2023 may be awarded renewable, merit-based scholarships up to $11,500 for first-year students or up to $8,000 for transfer students. In order to be awarded and apply the renewable, merit-based scholarship to the yearly comprehensive undergraduate tuition, students must be enrolled full-time, degree-seeking academic courses.

Estimated Master of Business Administration (MBA) Tuition & Fees

The Richard E. and Sandra J. Dauch College of Business and Economics’ world-class MBA programs offers international students flexibility in their educational pursuit. International students studying under an F-1 student visa are required to maintain full-time status by taking a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester for two out of three semester per academic year.  Two popular in-person MBA programs at Ashland University for international students are the Traditional MBA Program and the One-Year International MBA Program.

Estimated Master of Education (M.Ed) Tuition & Fees

The Dwight Schar College of Education and the College of Online and Adult Studies offer multiple M.Ed programs at Ashland University. Students seeking in-person programming under an F-1 student visa can select from two M.Ed programs: M.Ed in Curriculum & Instruction with a cognate in Teaching & Learning in the 21st Century or M.Ed in Adult Education. Both programs require 30-36 credit hours for graduation. International students studying under an F-1 student visa are required to maintain full-time status by taking a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester for two out of three semester per academic year.

The Dwight Schar College of Education’s Traditional Doctorate in Leadership Studies (Ed.D) provides an interdisciplinary, terminal degree in a 59 credit hour program. International students studying under an F-1 student visa are required to maintain full-time status by taking a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester for two out of three semester per academic year.

Estimated Accelerated Nursing Program Tuition & Fees

The Dwight Schar College of Nursing & Health Sciences offers international students a Post-Baccalaureate Accelerated BSN program designed to help students with a bachelor’s degree in any field launch a successful nursing career in 15 months. Due to the expedient delivery of the program, international students will enroll in a total of four terms over 15 months; however, for F-1 visa documentation purposes estimated expenses are based on 12 months (3 terms).

Estimated English Language Training Program (ACCESS) Tuition & Fees

International students that have not met the minimum English language proficiency requirement for direct admission may be required to enroll in Ashland University’ English language training program, ACCESS, prior to starting academic classes. Students length of study depends on English abilities which will be assessed during orientation for placement into one of three levels. Though students may study for shorter than a year, estimated expenses on the Form I-20 will be based on the yearly estimated expenses to maintain full-time status under an F-1 student visa.
