What to Expect in the Geology Program

Ashland University’s campus is located close to several geological sites and five environmental preserves, so you’ll be able to broaden your geology understanding by field testing theories and examining concepts and processes discussed in class.

Geology Program Benefits

The many benefits of Ashland University’s Geology programs include:

  • Participate in research projects alongside highly regarded professors
  • Benefit from small class sizes capped at 25 students to allow for maximum interaction with professors comprised of respected and published scientists
  • Develop strong research and writing skills that will serve you well in graduate school or your future career
  • Use scientific equipment in our state-of-the-art sample preparation and instrumental laboratories

Both employers and graduate schools prefer graduates with hands-on, one-on-one experiences that you’ll receive at Ashland University. That’s why 95 percent of all Ashland Geology majors who move onto graduate school do so on full-tuition scholarships.
