Innovative Programs
Most prospective students we see, and their parents, worry about employability after finishing college. Our response is simple - we can offer you more! We offer two programs that offer dual licensure in education so you won't be graduating with just one license but two. Our Early Childhood Educator program equips you to teach Pre-Kindergarten through 3rd grade but you can add on an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist license to teach students who traditionally struggle in school. You can also add on the 4th and 5th grade endorsement to this license and be able to teach Pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. The better credentialed you are, the more employable you are. That is the bottom line.
Two licenses for the price of one! Along the same lines, we offer a dual license in Mild-Moderate and Moderate to Intensive Intervention. This allows the newly licensed interventions specialist to have the option to teach in a wide variety of classrooms.
Follow your passion! If you plan on teaching “in the middle” in the Middle Grades we have a program that caters to your strengths and passions. Instead of the traditional model where the Middle Grades teacher is prepared in a Math/Science stream or Language Arts/Social Studies, we allow you to pick the two concentration areas that best suit you. If you play to your strengths we believe this is a great example of our value on the Accent on the Individual.
