Course Descriptions
In today’s aggressive market, many positions require advanced degrees. At Ashland University, we understand the needs of working adults, which is why our Master’s degree in exercise science can be completed in two ways:

Online with two individual in-person meetings to demonstrate lifting techniques

Hybrid, with a mix of online and face-to-face classes
As a student, you’ll take classes in The Scientific Basis for Sport, The Physiological Basis for Exercise and Sport, Scientific Foundation of Nutrition in Sport, and more.
This program is focused on strength and conditioning to give you the knowledge you need to guide yourself and others to peak physical performance.
Ashland University's M.S. in Applied Exercise Science it the only graduate program of its kind in the state and one of 7 nationally that have attained the Education Recognition Program status by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Recently the program was recognized by several organizations in their national rankings.
