ADV ITALIAN GRAMMAR

Advanced Italian Grammar for Educators

Using explanatory text videos, and practical exercises, this independent study course provides a comprehensive review of Italian grammar, targeting problem areas of grammar for many advanced learners. Designed for students preparing for licensure exams, teachers preparing to teach advanced levels, as well as native speakers of Italian charged with teaching advanced grammar concepts.  The course offers a collaborative environment to share tips and best practices on how to teach these difficult concepts. It focuses on challenging grammar areas, such as:

•      pronouns and their uses

•      distinctions between avere and essere

•      intricacies of relative clauses and relative pronouns

•      comparative constructions

•      adjective placement

•      neuter pronouns

•      gerunds and participles

•      impersonal constructions Critical Thinking skills:Participants will compare similarities and differences between the two languages and are challenged to develop ways to integrate and teach the content to their own

Idioma courses receive letter grades

24-48 HOURS AFTER YOUR REGISTRATION YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM IDIOMA CONTAINING YOUR COURSE ACCESS.

Within 24 hours of registering for a PD course, you'll be able to access your student account using Self-Service Ashland. There, you'll find printable financial statements and grade reports, plus a link for requesting transcripts, once your grades have posted. Instructions for establishing or resetting your login can be found HERE.
