Course Description:

This program will look at ways to encourage and help the wounded student become academically successful. By looking at emotional or trauma issues of students, this practitioner will describe programs and methods that boost esteem. Other topics discussed will be creating alternative discipline to help students remain in the classroom, increase achievement and graduation from high school. Participants will learn ways to build esteem and change behavior through service projects.

Students will need to obtain the book 7 Ways to Transform the Lives of Wounded Students (2016, Hendershott), which is available as an e-book option or paperback on Amazon
