Course Description:

This workshop, taught by Master Teaching Artists, Dr. Marla Butke and Dr. David Frego, presents the tenets of Dalcroze Eurhythics, the study of purposeful movement, solfege, and piano improvisation to music educators in the classroom or studio. This experiential workshop will provide meaninful ways to include movement rooted in the philosophy of Dalcroze to meet national and state education standards, and to provide authentic assessment opportunities. The presentors will teach personal musicianship along with pedagogy.
