Inspire Lifelong Learning: Building a Culture of Reading in a YA Classroom (1CR)

● Course participants will discuss the importance of choice reading to motivate lifelong reading habits that increase fluency and comprehension skills.
● Participants will develop instructional strategies for managing and assessing independent reading in the classroom.
● Course participants will read a variety of contemporary young adult literature and learn about resources that will help them connect their students with “just right” books for every learner.
