Course Description:

Human Body Systems – Part II Educator Training equips high school educators with the knowledge, tools, and instructional strategies needed to teach the advanced units of PLTW’s Human Body Systems course. Building on foundational anatomy and physiology concepts from Part I, this training focuses on circulatory, respiratory, digestive, endocrine, and urinary systems, along with the integration of body systems to maintain homeostasis. Teachers learn how to guide students through real-world biomedical case studies and hands-on labs that deepen understanding of system interdependence, data analysis, and clinical reasoning.

Ashland University is proud to partner with Project Lead The Way to offer graduate credit for their outstanding professional development experiences. We are excited to support educators who engage with PLTW’s high-quality, hands-on learning opportunities by providing the option to earn Ashland graduate credit upon successful completion.

To be eligible for graduate credit, participants must complete all required coursework through PLTW and submit a copy of their official completion certificate to cbasinge@ashland.edu.
