Principles of Biomedical Science – Part I Educator Training equips teachers to deliver the first half of the PLTW Principles of Biomedical Science course, which introduces students to the foundational concepts of human biology, medicine, and biomedical careers through a case-based, problem-solving approach. Educators explore how to guide students in investigating the mysterious death of a fictional patient using real-world biomedical tools and lab techniques. The training emphasizes inquiry-based learning, cross-disciplinary integration, and hands-on experiences to build student engagement and scientific literacy.

Ashland University is proud to partner with Project Lead The Way to offer graduate credit for their outstanding professional development experiences. We are excited to support educators who engage with PLTW’s high-quality, hands-on learning opportunities by providing the option to earn Ashland graduate credit upon successful completion.
