Course Description:

This course will provide a detailed overview of the benefits and limitations of students interacting with AI (artificial intelligence) tools in the classroom. The course will review what AI is and how it is rapidly evolving, as well as list and describe a variety of student-focused AI tools commonly used today. You will also learn how each AI tool can be best utilized in your classroom to improve student achievement in areas such as math and writing, as well as when to utilize it in creating new content or expanding on creative projects. You will also learn exactly when to consider utilizing AI in the classroom and how to address the risks of student dependency and academic dishonesty. The course also comes with a printable AI student tool guide and an AI for students action plan to help you in planning for its use in your classroom. You will analyze and learn about this topic through videos, articles, studies, and other resources. You will also design a comprehensive implementation plan for the classroom and an original resource that can be used to support implementation.

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR COURSE MATERIALS: 

Immediately upon completion of your Ashland registration, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to access your course materials, which will include instructions for creating an account in the Model Teaching dashboard, and a code to access your purchased course.
