Course Description:

This course provides you with a guide to understanding effective IEP goals within a student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP). You will learn about the main components of an IEP and why it is important to design strong goals for your students receiving special education services. You will learn the SMART goal format and review examples of effective SMART IEP Goals. This course also comes with a SMART IEP Goal Graphic Organizer for you to use when you design future student goals. You will analyze and learn about this topic through videos, articles, studies, and other resources. You will also design a comprehensive implementation plan for the classroom and an original resource that can be used to support implementation.

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR COURSE MATERIALS: 

Immediately upon completion of your Ashland registration, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to access your course materials, which will include instructions for creating an account in the Model Teaching dashboard, and a code to access your purchased course.

You will be working with Model Teaching, through their Learning Management System, to complete the course, after which, your instructor will record your grade on your AU transcript. We will notify you by email once this is done, with instructions on how to view and order transcripts.
