PLTW Aerospace Engineering Pt 2 (2CR)

Topic: Curriculum and Instruction
Instructor: Courtney Kessler
Method: Face to Face (WRK)
Sponsor: AU Columbus Center
Center Offered: Columbus Professional Dev

Course Description:

PLTW’s Aerospace Engineering (AE) is a high school-level, project-based course that explores the fundamentals of aeronautics and astronautics. Students engage in real-world engineering challenges through hands-on activities and simulations, gaining insight into the science and mechanics of flight. From designing airfoils and building gliders to simulating orbital trajectories and programming remote-controlled vehicles, learners investigate the physics of flight and the engineering processes behind aerospace systems. This course prepares students for postsecondary engineering, aviation, and space sciences pathways while developing critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Ashland University is proud to partner with Project Lead The Way to offer graduate credit for their outstanding professional development experiences. We are excited to support educators who engage with PLTW’s high-quality, hands-on learning opportunities by providing the option to earn Ashland graduate credit upon successful completion.

To be eligible for graduate credit, participants must complete all required coursework through PLTW and submit a copy of their official completion certificate to ckessler@ashland.edu.
