PLTW Computer Science Principles Pt II (1CR)
Course Description:
PLTW Computer Science Principles – Part II Educator Training equips teachers to deliver the second half of the PLTW Computer Science Principles course, including advanced
programming concepts, creative computing, cybersecurity, and the AP® Computer Science Principles Create Performance Task. Educators deepen their understanding of modular
programming, data abstraction, and procedural thinking while practicing strategies for scaffolding student-led projects. The training focuses on helping teachers guide students in
building complex, purposeful applications that reflect their interests and demonstrate mastery of core computing principles.
Ashland University is proud to partner with Project Lead The Way to offer graduate credit for their outstanding professional development experiences. We are excited to support educators who engage with PLTW’s high-quality, hands-on learning opportunities by providing the option to earn Ashland graduate credit upon successful completion.
To be eligible for graduate credit, participants must complete all required coursework through PLTW and submit a copy of their official completion certificate to ckessler@ashland.edu.
