Course Description:

Cybersecurity – Part II Educator Training prepares teachers to deliver the advanced portion of PLTW’s Cybersecurity course. Building on foundational knowledge from Part I, this training explores more complex cybersecurity topics such as network security, system hardening, penetration testing, digital forensics, and incident response. Educators engage in hands-on labs and simulations to learn how to guide students through real-world scenarios involving cyberattacks, system protection, and investigative techniques. Emphasis is placed on developing technical confidence, supporting inquiry-based learning, and preparing students for postsecondary pathways in cybersecurity and information technology.

Ashland University is proud to partner with Project Lead The Way to offer graduate credit for their outstanding professional development experiences. We are excited to support educators who engage with PLTW’s high-quality, hands-on learning opportunities by providing the option to earn Ashland graduate credit upon successful completion.

To be eligible for graduate credit, participants must complete all required coursework through PLTW and submit a copy of their official completion certificate to ckessler@ashland.edu.
