PLTW Digital Electronics Pt I (1CR)
Course Description:
Digital Electronics – Part I Educator Training prepares teachers to deliver the foundational portion of PLTW’s high school Digital Electronics course. Participants gain the technical knowledge and instructional strategies to guide students through the basics of digital logic design, Boolean algebra, logic gates, truth tables, and circuit simulation. Through hands-on activities and virtual circuit-building platforms such as Multisim®, TinkerCAD Circuits, and physical breadboards, educators develop confidence in teaching digital circuit analysis and design. This training emphasizes practical application, critical thinking, and effective delivery of PLTW’s project-based, standards-aligned curriculum.
Ashland University is proud to partner with Project Lead The Way to offer graduate credit for their outstanding professional development experiences. We are excited to support educators who engage with PLTW’s high-quality, hands-on learning opportunities by providing the option to earn Ashland graduate credit upon successful completion.
To be eligible for graduate credit, participants must complete all required coursework through PLTW and submit a copy of their official completion certificate to ckessler@ashland.edu.
