Course Description:

PLTW Digital Electronics – Part II Educator Training provides high school teachers with advanced instructional strategies, content knowledge, and technical skills to teach the second half of the PLTW Digital Electronics course. This training phase focuses on sequential logic, flip-flops, counters, registers, finite state machines, programmable logic devices (PLDs), and system-level digital design. Educators deepen their skills in troubleshooting, simulation, and real-world circuit implementation while gaining tools to manage student-led capstone design challenges. Emphasis is placed on helping educators support students through complex problemsolving, integrated project work, and preparation for future studies in computer engineering, robotics, or embedded systems.

Ashland University is proud to partner with Project Lead The Way to offer graduate credit for their outstanding professional development experiences. We are excited to support educators who engage with PLTW’s high-quality, hands-on learning opportunities by providing the option to earn Ashland graduate credit upon successful completion.

To be eligible for graduate credit, participants must complete all required coursework through PLTW and submit a copy of their official completion certificate to ckessler@ashland.edu.
