PLTW Computer Integrated Manufacturing Pt 1 (3CR)
Course Description:
PLTW Computer Integrated Manufacturing – Part I educator training equips high school teachers with the technical knowledge and instructional strategies necessary to teach the first half of the CIM course. Educators explore foundational manufacturing concepts such as product design, automation, robotics, CNC programming, and the digital workflow that connects design to production. Through hands-on activities and collaborative simulations, participants gain experience with tools like Autodesk® Inventor, G-code, and VEX® robotics. This training prepares educators to implement rigorous, real-world curriculum that connects engineering design with modern manufacturing practices and careers.
Ashland University is proud to partner with Project Lead The Way to offer graduate credit for their outstanding professional development experiences. We are excited to support educators who engage with PLTW’s high-quality, hands-on learning opportunities by providing the option to earn Ashland graduate credit upon successful completion.
To be eligible for graduate credit, participants must complete all required coursework through PLTW and submit a copy of their official completion certificate to ckessler@ashland.edu.
