Course Description:
Engineering Essentials – Part I Educator Training prepares high school teachers to deliver the foundational portion of PLTW’s introductory engineering course. Designed for educators of all backgrounds—especially those new to engineering instruction—this training provides the pedagogical knowledge, technical skills, and curriculum familiarity needed to launch students into the world of engineering. Educators will experience hands-on, project-based learning aligned to the Engineering Design Process, while also exploring real-world contexts such as sustainability, energy, health, and transportation. Teachers leave prepared to facilitate inquiry-driven learning and foster curiosity in students as they explore diverse engineering disciplines.
