Principles of Biomedical Science – Part II Educator Training prepares teachers to deliver the second half of PLTW’s Principles of Biomedical Science course, focusing on advanced case analysis, chronic disease, diagnostic testing, and treatment strategies. Educators expand their expertise in guiding students through investigations of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, sickle cell anemia, and infectious disease using laboratory techniques, modeling, and data analysis. The training emphasizes real-world application of biomedical concepts, the integration of science and health literacy, and strategies for facilitating student-driven inquiry and communication of findings.
Ashland University is proud to partner with Project Lead The Way to offer graduate credit for their outstanding professional development experiences. We are excited to support educators who engage with PLTW’s high-quality, hands-on learning opportunities by providing the option to earn Ashland graduate credit upon successful completion.
To be eligible for graduate credit, participants must complete all required coursework through PLTW and submit a copy of their official completion certificate to ckessler@ashland.edu.
