PLTW Principles of Engineering Pt II (1CR)
Course Description:
Principles of Engineering – Part II Educator Training builds upon the foundational skills from Part I and prepares teachers to deliver more advanced content in the second half of the POE course. Topics include statics, engineering materials, robotics and control systems, fluid power, and engineering economics. Through hands-on simulations, problem-solving labs, and technical analysis, educators deepen their understanding of core engineering principles while learning how to guide students through open-ended design challenges and data-driven decision-making. The training also supports educators in managing capstone-style projects and developing student confidence in applying STEM concepts to real-world systems.
Ashland University is proud to partner with Project Lead The Way to offer graduate credit for their outstanding professional development experiences. We are excited to support educators who engage with PLTW’s high-quality, hands-on learning opportunities by providing the option to earn Ashland graduate credit upon successful completion.
To be eligible for graduate credit, participants must complete all required coursework through PLTW and submit a copy of their official completion certificate to ckessler@ashland.edu.
