The Science Education Council of Ohio (SECO) was established in 1976 as the Ohio chapter of the National Science Teaching Association. SECO has been actively involved in organizing conferences and symposiums for educators. Notably, the council is preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026, marking half a century of commitment to advancing science education in Ohio.
Over the years, SECO has collaborated with various educational institutions and organizations to enhance science teaching and learning. Through its initiatives, SECO continues to support educators by providing resources, professional development opportunities, and a platform for sharing best practices in science education across Ohio.
