Sport Clubs

During the 1999-2000 academic year, Ashland University began offering the opportunity to form Sport Clubs.  Typically, these clubs provide the Ashland University student an opportunity to play at a competitive level against other universities outside the realm of varsity athletics.  In addition to competitive sports, students may join a recreational sport club that emphasizes sport participation outside competition.  Currently, Ashland University recognizes 20 Men's, Women's and Co-Ed Sport Clubs.

Sport Clubs

Sport clubs are student-led, student-run organizations which typically compete with other university or town sponsored sport clubs or teams and travel to different events/games throughout the year.  Sport Clubs typically involve more organized competition than intramural sports and may involve playoff components at the conclusion of the season.  The level of competition varies from club to club, and some clubs are purely recreational in nature.  For more information on individual clubs, feel free to reach out to the presidents through the emails listed below for specific answers to any questions you may have.
