The Student Health Center provides primary care and wellness services to the students of Ashland University. Our goal is to help students stay healthy, develop the skills to manage their health and teach them to navigate the healthcare system.
SERVICES OFFERED:
- Evaluation and management of acute illness and injury
- Chronic disease management
- Preventive care and wellness services
- Physicals (sports and work)
- Immunizations and Tb testing
- Diagnostic testing
- Referral to local providers and specialists, when indicated
- Allergy injections (under the direction of the student’s home allergist if permitted)
- Women’s health exams
- Student health insurance plan questions and claim submission assistance
ELIGIBILITY:
All full-time Ashland University students are welcome to utilize the services of the Student Health Center.
COST:
Full-time undergraduates are charged a campus access fee (as part of tuition/fees), which includes the cost of the Student Health Center services.
Full-time graduate students are charged a Student Health Center fee once per semester on their first visit IF they choose to utilize the Student Health Center services.
*Some services such as immunizations, Tb testing and physicals have additional fees. Imaging and laboratory services that are done at an outside facility or provider referrals are billed to the student’s insurance by the service provider. The Student Health Center does not bill insurance.
APPOINTMENTS:
Services are provided by appointment. Please call 419-289-5200 to schedule an appointment. The Student Health Center offers both in person and telehealth visits during fall and spring semesters.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, face coverings are required when students are receiving care in the Student Health Center. Anyone with symptoms that may indicate Covid-19 should self-isolate and contact the Student Health Center via phone or email. Please see the Covid-19 portion of our website here. LOCATION:
The Student Health Center is located in the Hawkins-Conard Student Center next to the Safety Services office. The Health Center is open to students Monday through Friday during the fall and spring academic semesters only.
