Course Description:

As you may know, there are a lot of opinions out there focused on the BEST way to teach reading. And, there are a lot of companies that claim to be the “one stop resource you need to meet all of your students’ needs.” The truth is, there isn’t one best way and there isn’t one resource that has it all. To meet students’ needs, you have to know your beliefs, you have to know your students ,and you have to know the enduring research around the skills, strategies, assessments, and methodologies that stands the test of time for meeting students where they are and giving them the LIFT they need to grow. This course is all about discovering the ART and science of teaching reading. Join in—you’ll have an opportunity to explore lots of resources and share your thinking.
