Opportunity and Access: Strategies to Support Exceptional Students

As many teachers are transitioning into the world of online and hybrid learning, supporting exceptional students can become challenging. This course explores strategies to support exceptional students and how they can apply to Language Classrooms. These strategies include: effective notes and note taking, scaffolding learning digitally, approaches to challenges with reading, opportunities for students to do asynchronous and self paced learning, and supporting students in their time management and organization. As these strategies are examined, a wide variety of apps and online tools that can support exceptional students in an online learning experience will be shared with examples of how they can be used effectively.  (Open to All Language Teachers. All Idioma courses receive letter grades. 

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR COURSE MATERIALS: 

Within 1-2 business days of your Ashland registration, you will receive an email from your course content provider, Idioma, containing instructions on how to access your course materials. A note, their emails are sometimes forwarded to junk or spam folders. 

You will be working with Idioma, through their Learning Management System, to complete the course, after which, your instructor will record your grade on your AU transcript. We will notify you by email once this is done, with instructions on how to view and order transcripts.
