IEP for Educators II -2 Credit
Course Description:
Traditionally, an IEP has been used to create a plan for students with special needs. As educators, we work to provide appropriate individual learning plans for our students but we have not taken the time to build the same plan for ourselves. Professional development can be personalized to meet the needs of different educational entities, such as the district, new or experienced educators, and individual interests. For example, educators will write their own individual education plan (IEP) as part of an improvement plan, to build a repertoire of pedagogy, or to master software that will enhance their practice in the classroom. By providing educators with voice and choice in their own professional development, they will become more engaged and excited about learning, which can translate to their students as well.
