OAPSA Conference 24 (1CR)

The job responsibilities of a Special Education/Student Services administrator are complex and varied dependent on the typology of school district and the obligations of the office,which could include federal/state rules, licensure requirements, parental interactions, recruitment of personnel, negotiations and developing the professional skills of co-workers. The pupil services administrator must be knowledgeable of the complexities of special needs and the ability to create programming and services of which students with disabilities are eligible to receive and the district is responsible to provide under the law. For the 1semester class. the professional must attend 3 of the 4 full days of conferences during the 2024-25 school year. At the conclusion of the conferences, once exposure to experts and colleagues is complete, a short descriptive paper on applications of learning of each experience and how it will be applied in their education entity is required.
