STEM in Special Education

This course will describe the benefits of utilizing STEM activities in the special education classroom and in the general education classroom to support students with special needs. You will learn about how you can align STEM activities with a student’s IEP goals and consider important components of an effective STEM activity that will support and enrich your students. You will analyze and learn about this topic through videos, articles, studies, and other resources. You will also design a comprehensive implementation plan for the classroom and an original resource that can be used to support implementation.

Model Teaching courses receive letter grades.

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR COURSE MATERIALS:
Immediately upon completion of your Ashland registration, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to access your course materials, which will include instructions for creating an account in the Model Teaching dashboard, and a code to access your purchased course.

You will be working with Model Teaching, through their Learning Management System, to complete the course, after which, your instructor will record your grade on your AU transcript. We will notify you by email once this is done, with instructions on how to view and order transcripts.
