PLTW Civil Engineering and Architecture Pt I (3CR)
Course Description:
Civil Engineering and Architecture – Part I Educator Training prepares high school educators to teach the first half of the PLTW CEA course, which introduces students to the
design and development of residential and commercial building projects. Teachers explore the fundamentals of architectural design, structural engineering, site planning, and sustainable practices, while developing skills in Autodesk® Revit® and other design tools. Through handson activities and collaborative simulations, educators learn how to guide students through design challenges that reflect real-world applications in the built environment.
Ashland University is proud to partner with Project Lead The Way to offer graduate credit for their outstanding professional development experiences. We are excited to support educators who engage with PLTW’s high-quality, hands-on learning opportunities by providing the option to earn Ashland graduate credit upon successful completion.
To be eligible for graduate credit, participants must complete all required coursework through PLTW and submit a copy of their official completion certificate to ckessler@ashland.edu.
