PLTW Medical Interventions Part II (3CR)
Course Description:
Medical Interventions – Part II Educator Training prepares high school teachers to deliver the second half of PLTW’s Medical Interventions course, where students explore the most advanced medical technologies and techniques used to treat disease. Educators dive into units focused on cancer detection and treatment, gene therapy, immunology, and medical innovation. This training helps teachers facilitate open-ended investigations, manage project-based learning, and support students in designing personalized intervention strategies through research, lab activities, and simulated patient care scenarios.
Ashland University is proud to partner with Project Lead The Way to offer graduate credit for their outstanding professional development experiences. We are excited to support educators who engage with PLTW’s high-quality, hands-on learning opportunities by providing the option to earn Ashland graduate credit upon successful completion.
To be eligible for graduate credit, participants must complete all required coursework through PLTW and submit a copy of their official completion certificate to ckessler@ashland.edu.
