AI in Action: Supporting English Language Learners
Course Description:
This course helps educators explore thoughtful and responsible ways to use artificial intelligence to support English Language Learners. Participants examine how AI can assist with language-accessible instruction, differentiated materials, multimodal supports, student engagement, feedback, and equitable assessment. Through readings, video analysis, guided tool exploration, reflection, and applied assignments, educators create classroom-ready resources while considering ethical use, teacher judgment, and the needs of multilingual learners. By the end of the course, participants will develop a practical plan for integrating AI in ways that support ELL access, participation, language growth, and academic success.
