Course Description:

This course helps educators design purposeful, rigorous, and accessible project-based learning experiences that connect academic content to students’ lives, cultures, interests, and real-world contexts. Participants explore the elements of high-quality PBL, including driving questions, sustained inquiry, authenticity, student voice and choice, collaboration, scaffolding, assessment, and reflection. Through readings, video analysis, project design tasks, peer discussion, and applied assignments, educators develop tools for making project-based learning more equitable and engaging. By the end of the course, participants will design or revise a classroom-ready project-based learning experience that supports access, agency, and meaningful student learning.
