Language to Literacy
Course Description:
Language to Literacy™ is a professional learning course that gives educators deep knowledge of structured literacy and the Orton-Gillingham multisensory strategies to apply in their classrooms. Bridging the Science of Reading, Structured Literacy, and the Science of Learning, the course covers the full continuum of literacy development: oral language, phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and written language. Participants learn explicit, systematic, and diagnostic practices to assess, teach, differentiate, and monitor progress for all students, including multilingual learners and students with dyslexia or other language-based learning differences. Case studies and practical scenarios turn research into routines teachers can use every day. The course in designed for general education and special education teachers, interventionists, literacy coaches, and administrators. Participants also receive access to the Language to Literacy: From Research to Routine™ textbook and a Resource Booklet of classroom-ready tools for ongoing lesson planning and instruction.
