Course Description:

The Focus of this 5 session course is to prepare teachers to implement all features of the SIOP Model and to provide guidance how to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that leads to improve teaching practices and students learning as they develop English language  proficiency.  Teachers will learn to integrate language instruction into content area instruction by incorporating both content and language objectives in each lesson.  They will be engaged in learning and designing lesson plans based on the eight interrelated SIOP components:  lesson preparation, building background, comprehensive input, strategies, interaction, practice/application, lesson delivery, and review/assessment.

Classes are held from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.
